HODL

HODL is a term that originated from a misspelling of "hold" in a Bitcoin forum post in 2013. It has since become an acronym for "Hold On for Dear Life," representing a strategy where crypto investors hold onto their assets through market volatility rather than selling them during downturns. The term is widely embraced in the cryptocurrency community, especially by long-term investors who believe in the future value of their assets. HODLing is considered a way to avoid emotional reactions to short-term price fluctuations, with the expectation that prices will eventually rise again over time.
