How to Close Your WEEX Account
If you’ve chosen to deactivate your WEEX account, the process is clear and user-friendly. Whether you’re pausing your trading journey or switching platforms, WEEX makes account closure simple. Follow these steps to securely delete your account.
For any reason you may have, this guide will help you close your account quickly and safely.
Guide to Deleting Your WEEX Account
Transfer All Remaining Funds
Before starting the deletion process, make sure to withdraw all funds from your WEEX account, including both fiat and cryptocurrencies. After deletion, you won’t be able to retrieve any remaining balances.
Sign into your account.
Go to the Total Balance section.
Withdraw all crypto and fiat funds.
Verify that all withdrawals are fully processed.
Delete Your Account
To permanently close your WEEX account, proceed with these steps:
Step 1: Launch the WEEX App
Open the app and tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the homepage.
Step 2: Access Security Settings
Select “Security” from the profile menu.
Step 3: Initiate Account Deletion
Choose the “Delete Account” option.
Step 4: Complete the Deletion Process
Follow the on-screen prompts to finalize account deletion.
Note that WEEX reviews deletion requests, which typically takes around one business day.

Log Out to Finalize
After the review is complete, you’ll be prompted to log out to confirm the deletion. Once logged out, your account will be permanently deactivated, and you’ll lose all access and functionality.
Understand Regulatory Requirements
While closing your account prevents login and use of WEEX services, certain data, like transaction history, may be retained due to legal compliance obligations. Be aware that not all linked information is erased during deletion.
Key Considerations Before Deletion
Complete All Transactions: Ensure all withdrawals and open orders are finalized before deleting your account.
Data Retention: Due to regulatory rules, some personal data may remain stored even after deletion. Keep this in mind if privacy is a concern.
Permanent Closure: Reopening a deleted account may not be possible, so think carefully before proceeding.
Conclusion
Closing your WEEX account is a straightforward task, but you must withdraw all assets and settle any orders first. By following these steps, you can securely deactivate your account and end your use of WEEX services.
